This speaker is used as a center channel speaker in my home theatre system. I didn't have a center channel speaker before and was advised this is the most important speaker for a home theatre system - I don't think that is true when you have a good pair of front speakers that are properly calibrated. This added a bit to the overall sound and surround sound experience, but if I was broke, I could easily live without it. I found it hard to find speakers that were not too tall as I didn't want the speaker to block any of the TV screen. These fit perfectly with my setup. A special note for Canadian customers, B&H makes ordering from Canada very easy and there are no hidden costs (or any costs for that matter upon product arrival).
