Honeywell Humidity Control Switch

My concern for my expensive photography bodies and lenses drove me to look for a humidity control cabinet. I looked at a couple of different manufacturers and size cabinets and chose the Sirui HC-110. I have 3 bodies each with a battery grip, 6 lenses in eluding a 200-0400 F/4 all fit comfortably with room to grow. Only drawback is the bottom shelf cannot be used at the lower level ,the adjustable shelves due to the humidity unit sticks out an inch or so inside the cabinet preventing the drawers to be fully pushed to the rear. Not a big deal and able to work around.

I bought this mainly to keep my growing camera and lens collection clean and organized. The humidity control is a nice extra in my opinion. I really just got tired of having my stuff stored in multiple camera bags and find this a much more tidy solution. Easy to see and get to gear and it is always dust free. The cabinet itself stores a ton of stuff and is very well built. It took me all of 5 minutes to get it up and running. It came very well packed. My favorite purchase for some time. For the price it was a great deal.

One problem with using silica gel to control humidity is how long to heat it in the oven to drive off the water; a second is how to store the dry gel until you use it. This unit takes care of both. When the gel turns pink (visible though a widow), plug it into a 120 V outlet for an hour or so until the gel turns blue. This is easy enough, that the storage of dried gel is a non-issue.

I purchased this item to store my camera - the size is perfect and seems to control temperature/humidity for my gears! I like how the design is so simple too.

It is perfect for one camera and few smaller lenses. I love it and it does the job as far as humidity control and dust free storage.

I really have enjoyed this thermostat. I can program it and forget it. Many extra controls, like humidity control. I'm not much on using Alexa or Google to control the thermostat, so why pay for something you don't need. I purchased 2 additional remote sensors for better temp control in the master bedroom and bath. I can also control the thermostat while away from home. And this was very easy to install.

After amassing a large collection of medium format film cameras and lenses, I needed a way to house and protect my investment. I bought the 600L Ruggard Electronic Dry Cabinet when it went on sale and have no regrets. I like the glass cabinet doors, so I can browse what's inside without having to open the case and introduce humidity. The doors have a heavy-duty rubber seal that does a wonderful job keeping out dust. All the doors have a lock, and since the case is divided into 300L top and bottom cabinets, you can lock both doors on either the top or bottom so the case is semi-accessible to people without a copy of the key. The humidity control is adequate for where I live in southern California, but if you live in a very humid environment the case will only decrease humidity in the case by 10% of ambient levels. There is no cooling mechanism in this case, so the temperature in the case will always be at room temperature. The LED lights inside are kind of weak and only on the right side. It would be a good upgrade if there were LED strips on both sides. I really like that this case is on casters so you can easily move it around with all your gear inside, but all the casters lock and there are leveling feet that screw down if you want the case to stay in place. Overall, the build quality of the case is excellent--solid metal throughout, thoroughly covered in tough, matte black paint. I can't really imagine this case being better unless it had a more robust climate control system built into it, but that would probably make it much more expensive.

The door really closes like a refrigerator, has a good seal. The glass door is strong and the operation of the humidity control is absolutely silent. In approximately 2-3 hours reaches the control of 40%�humidity with 1% oscillation only. Internal space totally free without technical cabinet artifacts.
