Honeywell Wifi Thermostat Advanced Settings

Bought this in Oct 2018, to replace a standard Honeywell 24/7 programable thermostat and found this very simple to install and use. I emailed support a picture of current wiring and they came back 2 days later with the recommendation for the wiring. Within 10 minutes it was up and running. I use the geo fencing feature and it have learned my setting preferences to provide energy savings.

The Ecobee was recommended to me by the HVAC guy I had come out to remove the Honeywell thermostat I had installed. Turns out it was defective. The HVAC guy could tell I didn't know much about installing thermostats so he recommended Ecobee. It was also the least expensive of the newer "smart" products. I had no trouble at all putting in the Ecobee and getting it to work. And I love being able to adjust the setting with my phone.

Had an old Honeywell thermostat that came with the home built in 2003. Couldn't tell exact temperature. Wanted s smart thermostat that I could adjust while I was away to save energy. Purchased through my utility company and got a great deal and free install!

Really glad made the decision and replaced my 3 month old Honeywell thermostat thought it was same expensive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always saw ads for the ecobee smart thermostat but we had a Honeywell lyric so I was hesitant to try this. We love the recyclable packaging the product came in. It was super easy to install. The design is very sleek and I like the display and I love the eco+ and the smart home and away feature to help save money! We’ve only been using the for a few weeks but so far we are happy!

I purchased this product about three weeks ago to add to my IoT collection that run my smart home. It took me several months of going back and forth between this product and the Nest thermostat. I'm an advanced user who loves working with RestFUL APIs. So when I discovered that this product had one, I was sold. Installing the thermostat took less than 30 minutes, most of which time which time was spent analyzing my previous thermostat's wiring. Once installed it connected right away to my network and I've yet to experience any issues. The included instructions were terrific, especially since I have almost no knowledge of how HVAC systems work or how mine was even configured. I even learned I had a heat pump. Go figure. Let me be clear - while I'm an advanced technical user, this device is VERY easy to use. So much so that I purchased one for my parents who are in their 70s and are completely anti-tech. They absolutely love it because it is so easy to setup and use. So whether you're a computer programmer or someone who just likes to use a smart phone, you'll be able to use this product and get everything you want out of it. Having the ability to set your AC or heat (whether through an API, temperature sensors, or just from your phone) is definitely worth it. You won't regret it.

Excellent camera for the imtermediate user, but has advanced settings also. Nice video setting

Interface is simple and basic. Advanced settings are not available in the OSD so you have to use the receiver's. Audio over Bluetooth is good but is not recommended if you care about sound quality (default codec is SBC, AAC if you pair from the phone directly) . You can manually config your audio setup but configurations are not that advanced. Build quality is excellent, didn't expect the price.

Camcorder can take great video or still pictures using the automatic settings right out of the box. You can go into the menus and adjust any of the settings as you become more advanced in your usage. I record to the SDHC card, load the files right onto my computer to edit into great looking movies (I am using VideoStudio X2). Easy workflow to produce a movie.
