i bought this stereo Receiver to replace my old receiver that i gave to my son i was looking for something that used just two speakers and maybe i could connect my sub woofer to it this was the one i could afford plus sony makes good products so i bought this on and i really like it

I currently use this to switch the stereo output on my laptop's Echo IOx soundcard between headphones and a speaker amp. This product costs more than an echo dot run to your receiver, obviously, but there is no comparison to what you can accomplish with this. I have it set up to bring a cassette player into my whole home, which is just fun sometimes. But for great sound and volume consistency with other rooms you cannot beat this. I used to have to control the volume on my stereo receiver separately. Now I tune this device to the right max volume and it is perfectly balanced with the rest of the house without special attention. That is priceless!! And it sounds fantastic!

works perfect w/ our existing receiver, a lot of echo, that I need to work on, either area too small or speakers just too much for the room. but it has great pick up.

I bought the speakers to hook up to my receiver as an add-on to the larger speakers at the opposite end of the room and they sound great!
