Hooking Up Hdmi Cable Laptop To Samsung Tv

We were hooking up an HDMI TV as a second monitor on a PC that had DisplayPort, this cable was perfect. It was the length we needed and avoided having to use an adapter from the DisplayPort on the PC to change to HDMI. Highly recommend use of this cable over a double ended HDMI cable and an adapter.

Plus the picture is outstanding (and as most reviews state, the built in speakers not so much) but a decent $15 external speaker worked wonders.

Having problems hooking up Cable TV to set. This is the first TV I've bought in almost 19 years so yes, a lot has changed. My old one was a tube TV and of course didn't have all of this extra stuff on it, which I don't need or want. Just an old guy who wants to watch some of the old reruns. For some reason all I get is Paramount. Could really use some help.
