This bracket is exactly what I was looking for. I use it with a Nikon D700 and a Nikon D300. They fit perfectly on the bracket and both cameras line up almost perfectly on the target when reset from horizontal to vertical, and vice versa. The Manfrotto quick release plates work without a hitch on my Manfrotto ball head, which is mounted on my Manfrotto tripod. The small pressure plate mounted to the vertical leg of the bracket works very well. There is no slack between the side of the camera and the plate. The camera is held securely to the bracket by the screw on the horizontal leg and the pressure plate on the vertical leg of the bracket. The bracket comes with a handy ruler to help position the camera lens on the bracket, and a longer bolt to cinch up the pressure plate to the side of your camera, if you're using one that is smaller than the two Nikons I am using. Five minutes of practice mounting your camera to the bracket is all you need to be able to do it quickly and not lose a great photo opportunity. 5 |
