Hot Link Remote Surveillance Camera

This very flexible remote allows the camera to make images with you at the controls or in your absence. It is excellent for remote surveillance. 5 |

It works excellent as a surveillance camera for a remote water trough I am using it on. I can set how many pictures maximum i get per day. I have been using the camera for 3 weeks now and it has been trouble free other then a switch on the app turned off for some unknown reason and i wasn’t getting pics sent to my phone for one day until i figured it out. Saves me a lot of time and money driving back and forth to check on it. I would be interested in becoming a dealer for you. 5 |

This remote works great. It was easy to link to the camera, too. You just have to put the camera on the right setting to receive the remote. Great for those shots where I need absolute stillness, or for those time when noone else is around to shoot self portraits of me, my wife, and our dog. Definitely worth the money. ... 5 |

This is exactly what I needed to get my old surveillance camera back up and running. Thanks. 5 |

I have used this remote for about three weeks straight and have had no issues with it. I primarily use this for longer exposures in outdoor situations. I have had the chance to visit almost 50 waterfall sites and have not had one issue with it! I have read some of the other reviews of this using the hot shoe for the camera, not allowing the use of a flash. I would not need this product if I could use flash in my shots... For those that have this as a complaint I would recommend getting a bracket type setup for this unit if you absolutely need the hot shoe. Not a difficult work around at all! The only complaint I would have, which has nothing to do with the unit and everything to do with my poor tripod placement, is that the shoe mount is plastic. My tripod fell over and the receiver hit the ground, protecting my camera (D700) I might add, and broke most of the shoe attachment off. Very easy to use. I love it!! 5 |

I’ve used this remote both as a wireless remote shutter control in my camera’s hot show, and also as a wired shutter control. In both scenarios it works great, allowing me to activate the autofocus and the shutter without the camera shake that I would get from having my hands on the camera body. I highly recommend this for any type of shoot where sensitivity to camera shake is an issue. 5 |

The Air Remote goes on the hot shoe and, once firmware is updated, gives full control of the B1 lights from the camera. I like being able to control modeling flash and exposure control from the camera; obviously skipping a bunch of setting on each light. In simple parlance, the unit works exactly as it should. 5 |

These are a great way to trigger a remote YN flash using the built-in RF of the flash. It has Canon connections for mounting in the camera's hot shoe, and you might expect that you could put a Canon flash into its hot shoe and the connections would transfer, so that you could use a Canon flash with TTL on camera and a YN as remote. But the connections on the top hot shoe are NOT Canon TTL, just plain Manual. With that caveat, it works fine. 5 |

I like to use the flash hot shoe and the remote at the same time. This bracket holds the remote sensor off to the side of the camera and frees up the hot shoe for a flash unit. I would not be without it. 5 |

I waited to write my review as I thought my remote or receiver was defective. Credit to the Gradus Group for helping me address the issue, including sending me a new cable, as well as RMA'ing my device so they could check it. Sadly, after receiving the unit back in the mail, I connected it and no action. While on the phone with Liam trying to figure out what was wrong, I said I'm going to try and hot plug it and see what happens Sure enough, with the camera, remote and receiver ON, I plugged the cable into the camera and voila! the receiver began transmitting the signal to the camera for proper operation. So if you run into the problem of the remote communicating with the receiver, but the receiver not transmitting the operations to the camera, try hot plugging the cable into the camera. At least, that's what you have to do with the Sony HDR-CX405. 5 |
