Currently I have 4 of the older models (DS-2DE3304W-DE), and this newer one is much better than those. Besides the slightly higher 4mp over the old 3mp, the night vision is far superior. I always use Color at night on all the cameras, and use Slow Shutter to lighten the scene, and I was surprised at how bright the Auto Slow Shutter was on this new model - it's perfect for my needs. I put it on a Scheduled Switch, Outdoors during the daytime with tweaked Image Adjustments (no slow shutter), and at night I have the Day/Night switch on Day, Indoors, with tweaks to the image along with the Auto Slow Shutter 2. Another nice surprise was my 2017 iMac on Monterey using Firefox v103 was able to see the picture/video in the browser without installing any addons or web components (which don't work on the older models for Safari or Firefox, but do on Internet Explorer when using Parallels Desktop with Windows 10). The firmware which came with my new 3404 is V5.7.2 build 211009. I'd love to replace all my older cameras with this one but that's a big chunk of change (lol). Anyway, none of my cameras are outside, they're all sitting on the windowsill looking through glass, so for folks who install outdoors will probably have even better results than me.

Very easy to use, just attach the transmitter to the camera hot shoe and the receiver to your flash. Turn them on make sure the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel as the flash and your ready to go.

Pros:Best shotgun video mic I have ever used. If you want to use it on a non-professional camcorder with a smaller mic hot shoe, like a Canon Vixia, check out @ for a converter. Cons: It can bring out base sounds a little more which you would have to adjust in the microphone, and always remember to turn it off when you turn the camera off, or you'll run the battery dead. Otherwise great mic.

If you want to geo tag your photos this is the perfect way. Slip it on the hot shoe, turn the GPS function on in your camera and you are all set. Different cameras take different units so be sure to check for compatibility. Make sure your camera has the GPS functionality.

I like how practical itis. gets out of the way. The advantage is that, it places the hot shoe flash at same level as lens and allows you to turn the flash with an angle unlike placing it on the top.

saves money and time. quite loud and heats up quite hot when turn on for prolonged periods. does the job required and much better then compressed air cans.

Hot lights will make regular soft boxes turn amber. This box is designed for continuous lighting. I love the heavy build.
