I use it for Pearstone batteries to replace alkalines in household use. Seems to work just fine. I do like the discharge function and the battery status LED indicators are very useful. Not any faster than any other charger I've used, but otherwise a very good deal.

Backup batteries for all the digital cameras in my household. Rechargeables are very economical, but I make sure to always have some of these around, just in case someone forgot to recharge the NiMHs, or the (two) sets that I always carry with the cameras just ran out of juice...
