We have several monitors that do not have display port capabilities (VGA and DVI-D only) and are currently upgrading laptops/docking stations for our internal staff. The new docks only have two display ports and one VGA port. So to save on both buying new monitors and all the work of running cables, these converters are life savers. Good build and design. 5 |

New 8Gb AMC Firepro card has no DVI port options, only has four DP (Display Port) sockets. Tried using DVI to DP adaptors to use old DVI (monitor mfg supplied) cables but could not get my two paired monitors to reach their native max 2560x1600. Getting these and going straight DP to DP did the trick. Magnifico! 5 |

I have a laptop docking station (display port, dvi) and a PC (dvi, dvi) connected to the switch. the switch is then connected to one monitor via dvi, and the other via a dvi-hdmi cable. My docking station requires an adapter for the display port. I am having no issues switching between the two. The PC and laptop goes to sleep just as it did before using the switch.� One thing that is a bit odd is the monitor that is connected via the dvi-hdmi cable will randomly come on even if neither the PC or laptop is on. Not a big deal, I just turn the monitor off when I am done using it. 5 |

This is a good quality cable that I am using to connect the DVI port on my nVidia GeForce card to a second HDMI monitor. The cable has a quality feel to it and is likely to last a long time. As a PC builder I am familiar with the quality of StarTech products which have never disappointed. 5 |
