Hp Pavilion Dv2000 Entertainment Pc Media Center Laptop

Bought this for my old HP Pavilion PC. Upped it to the max, 16GB. Made a significant difference even with existing SSD running Fedora Linux. Even though it's an old machine, it's faster now than ever - and blows my 3 y/o Win10 machine also with SSD out of the water (but Win10 is a hog). So far, no issues at all. Memory checks out fine, booted up 1st time, BIOS recognized it, no issues at all so far. This was an inexpensive, quick & simple upgrade. DIMM sticks arrived on time, well packaged, not damaged. Wish I'd done it earlier. BHPhotovideo comes through again...

I bought this laptop to replace my 7 year old HP Pavilion laptop. I was happy with the quality of the computer, as well as the Intel processor. It is a beautiful computer at a reasonable price.

I got this for an old hp pavilion 3000 series laptop and it works perfectly to expand the amount of ports you need, the transfer speeds aren't bad either, even with a more modern usb drive.

Replaced the original mechanical 1TB hard drive in our HP Pavilion laptop using the Samsung Migration software. Made an image copy of the old drive, removed the old drive and rebooted into all the content that was there before! Superfast boot, applications open in an instant. The old computer had a slot for the optane cache memory and this fit in the M2 slot with no problems. Like a new laptop for $100 bucks!

I use my PC as a combined gaming rig, workstation, and home entertainment center, so I need long cords to allow my tower to plug into everything that I want it to plug into. Cables like these are a godsend!

Windows Media Center PC in a low profile case only had 1 slot for a 3.5 hard drive. I wanted to store my recorded TV (PVR) to a larger capacity hard drive but maintain my Windows 7 to a smaller SSD. This was the ideal way to get both the SSD and larger laptop hard drive into 1 space.

I've installed this tuner in my ancient HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop with Windows Media Center installed, and it's working flawlessly. The only minor thing is that Windows 7 won't recognize the tuner automatically, and therefore you'll need to install the drivers manually plus reboot the machine at the end of the installation process. If you already have the Windows Media Center configured with a different tuner then you will also need to manually run the TV setup again which includes providing the zip code, scanning for the channels etc. The dual tuner eliminates the need to change the channel to record something while you're watching a different channel. I've not noticed any performance issues when WMC was recording two channels at once, and this is running on a 2007 laptop with 8Gb of memory. In summary, this is a must have product if you are using Windows Media Center.
