Love the wireless connectivity from the smartphone which was an easy setup thru HP smart app. The HP smart app makes life easy setting up wireless printing. The print quality for the money of this printer is good.This is a great family printer we are about to go on vacation and it took about 5 minutes to setup wireless printing. Our family just loves this printer. Also the travel bingo cards we were printing out the speed of the printer was great and was able to print these out fast.

I mainly print documents with occasional color printing, and I scan using my phone so I wasn't looking for a scanner function in the new printer. Easy Setup, Almost - Unboxing and initial setup were a breeze. The printer itself is a bit heavy, but getting it ready to go was quick. I plugged it in, answered a few setup questions, and downloaded the app. However, I missed a crucial detail: this HP printer requires a wired ethernet connection to set up with the app. After a quick trip to the store for a cable, I was back on track. Once I connected the cable, the app found the printer immediately and I was ready to print. This HP printer is a speed demon! It handles both documents and photos with ease, and the double-sided printing is equally fast. Even when using duplex printing, the speed is impressive. The documents are crisp and sharp, and even photos look good on this machine. For a color laser printer, this HP model has a surprisingly small footprint. It won't take up a ton of space on your desk. It also has a handy bypass tray that lets you print on specialty papers, which is a feature I might use in the future. Overall, a Great Choice. This HP printer is a great replacement for my old inkjet and laser printer combo. It's fast, produces high-quality prints, and has a small footprint. The only hiccup during setup was the requirement for a wired ethernet connection, but once I had that, the app setup was quick and easy. If you're looking for a fast and versatile color laser printer for home or office use, this HP model is a great option.

Switching paper types is a breeze, which is super important when I’m juggling different tasks. The print quality, especially the colors, come out sharp and vibrant, which really makes my projects pop. In terms of cost, I feel like I’m getting a good deal. The cost per print seems lower compared to other printers I’ve looked at, which means I can do more printing without worrying too much about my wallet. However, while I love the printer, I’ve had my share of frustrations with the HP Smart app. It can be clunky and sometimes complicates things more than it helps. My last printer is twice the size and takes a long time to warm up to laser print. The HP phone app and web based setup was easy to complete. The phone app allows me to print directly to the printer. I love how it only takes a few seconds to warm up and start printing along with being super quiet. The multifunction control screen is largw amd all main function are easy to use. I love the two tone black and white atheistic and this printer blends in well in my home office.

I always knew laser was faster but, until you have to print off 100s of pages you don't realize how much time it saves. setup was very simple, using thew HP app I had my printer connected to Wifi and printing in just a couple minutes and the HP print app is very easy to use. The quality of the prints has been spot on, text documents are easy to read and no risk of ink running like with an inkjet. I also love being able to do double sided copying. Overall I am very happy and this has been a great addition for my home office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HP has made huge leaps in improvement, maintenance and convenience with the smart tank printer. Filling ink and refilling is now an absolute breeze - gone are the days of having to swap out these weird boxy printer cartridges that were somewhat of a pain to swap in and out. Simply turn the appropriate colored ink bottle upside down onto the nozzle, and remove when it has stopped filling, a completely leak/drip free experience due to the nature of the rubber seals they put on the bottles. The device itself feels well constructed, hinges move smoothly and all pieces feel firm and solid, no flimsiness or feeling like something may break when opening the face. Setup and wireless set up was so smooth and convenient, using the HP app setup was essentially automatic aside from signing into your HP account and clicking a bluetooth button on the printer. Printing takes approx 30 seconds for the device to receive the printing instructions from the PC, and another 15-25 seconds per page depending on the amount of content on said page. Printing a 1040 for example, was about 20 seconds a page, print quality being fantastic. Scanning is quick and clear. With the HP app and print anywhere, you can print directly from your phone or any other device, gone are the days of having to email yourself a document and get on your PC to print it out. It's a fantastic little printer. May not be the fastest but, and for the price, I think it's a great personal use/home office printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using a home printer with refillable ink tanks, and I'm really impressed with the technology. The printer comes with a large bottle of black ink and three smaller bottles of the colored inks. Filling the tanks was easy -- simply open the bottle, invert it over the ink tank, and hold steady until the tank is full. The black bottle contains enough ink for more than one fill, so store that bottle away for later. Absolutely no mess at all! I feel good about being able to refill the ink rather than buying entirely new cartridges, and I love that I can individually fill one color at a time. The print quality is fantastic. The HP Smart Tank 5101 produces crisp, clear blacks and vibrant colors. I even got great results printing on heavier cardstock, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it handles things like labels as well. The HP mobile app is really convenient, allowing me to print photos or documents directly from my phone over Wi-Fi. HP even provide a library of printables right in the app, like coloring sheets and planner pages. There's even printable craft projects. I'll continue using my existing laser printer for high-volume black and white printing, but the HP Smart Tank 5101 is now my go-to printer for color documents. The effortless integration with the mobile app is simply an unbeatable feature. I particularly like the integrated Wi-Fi which means it's easy for everyone in the home to print directly from their own desktop, laptop, or phone, without needing to log in to one particular computer. I'm very impressed with how home color printing technology has progressed recently, and HP have produced an excellent printer for family use.

Being HP brand, we knew this was one we could really count on for getting the job done quick and easy. The set up was easy and it connected to our WIFI really fast. The print quality is second to none. Even when printing graphs with very small text, it comes out crystal clear. This 4001Nn printer can print up to 42 pages per minute, so you have an idea just how fast this machine is. I really like the 250 page paper tray. We can print so much more now in between paper refills. This is the first printer I have had that has a mobile app. The app was easy to set up and is very handy. Having the HP Instant Ink program available ensures that we never run out of ink. The cartridges are automatically shipped as scheduled. Over all, this is a great printer.

Once you turn it on, you get instructions on how to make the best out of the printer. Quality: Build quality is great. It's made out of plastic, however, it doesn't feel cheap by any means. The print quality is amazing! You will have enough print quality for regular documents as well as high-quality flyers and pictures. Ease of use: You can print wirelessly. You can pair the printer with your phone. You can print over Wi-Fi and more. Of course you have the option to go the old way but now days a wireless connection is key. Cons: HP app: If you want to use the HP app to pair your printer, you have to allow so many permissions that are irrelevant to the use of the printer. Size: For some, it might not be an issue, but if you're trying to have a compact printer this is not it. Overall, it is a great printer and a great product. I would recommend it 100%.
