Great value! Comes with a free $300 license for Da Vinci Resolve studio. I heard they used this cam to shoot a few scenes in Better Call Saul. I love using this camera! It really allows for spontaneous recording, more than even with my smartphone because it's so quick to start and go. All the buttons are distinct and tactile so you don't have to look at the camera, but the touchscreen is very usable. My theory is the camera doesn't really turn off but goes into a sleep mode (which is why it's so fast to get going). You can have the camera connected by USC-C to a battery while recording so it doesn't use the internal battery (but it only charges while off). 2) 4K recording can result in overheating. And from what I observe, it's less about ambient temperature and more about environment. I was in a relatively average room with no moving air (AC was off) and I could get it to overheat, but if I was in a warmer outdoor scenario with moving air, it would overheat less. 1080p recording never overheats.
