Took me a bit of time to adjust to this lens, and some back and forth, but six months into ownership with D500 starting to really appreciate it for what it is. Very flexible range, ideal for DX sensor of course, light, compact, super convenient, high levels of distortion especially at wide end, noticeable vignetting wide open at 80mm, but here’s the thing, it 8 times out of 10 comes up beautifully in post without so much effort yielding sharp, rich, saturated, dynamic and very satisfying images. It retains very good contrast and richness in backlit scenarios with MINIMAL flare, but does show some techno colorful ghosts that are for main part not so invasive, but occasionally they are. Often the techno ghosts are small enough so that spot healing will take them out. Bokeh appears somewhat busy and harsh in RAW but for some reason becomes more buttery and pleasing when I convert final image to jpeg. Bottom line is that after initial impressions I drifted away from this lens for a while, but came back to it and now I’m starting to really, really appreciate it :-) Might truly be worth its gold ring after all... just took me a bit to see that...

Easy to attach, no ghosts or flares (even into a light source). Simple, useful and cheap. Need anything else????

The SM57 is an instrumental mic but it still works great as an interview mic as well for videos.

There are no ghosts with this filter. My old filters I had to take them off sometime when taking a particular picture. This filter is constructed well and fits tightly on my lens. I purchased a filter for my 17-35, 70-200, and 24-70mm lens.

I just love these filters because they give you zero internal lens reflections, or light ghosts caused by the reflection of a light source bouncing inside the lens elements! I completely recommend this item!

Best general-purpose binocs I've ever used! Sharp as a tack across the whole field, no ghosts, no false color, perfect contrast, the binoculars become completely transparent and it's as if you're really out there, looking from close up with just your eyes. I've never seen such a great view. They are also very light and mechanically well made. I'll still use my Canon 15x IS binocs for astronomy, even though they are optically inferior, for the steady high-mag views, but for everything else these are much better.

This cable was instrumental in helping me to setup dual monitor without buying an hub.

These are great batteries. The Z9 is power hungry so it's nice to have a few.
