I Have Forgotten My Samsung Laptop Password

My Samsung often requires reboot... My L3860CDW printer is always there. Only trouble is asking for a password for a firmware upgrade, claiming it is in the back and trust me, it is NOT ANYWHERE...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had forgotten why I liked the X1 carbon series so much; I was a Surface user for many years, but this time I decided to give Lenovo another try. I’m absolutely happy to have done it; the performance of this laptop is far superior to my surface, it feels lighter and the battery last longer that I have needed to so far. The screen looks great and the Lenovo View functions are awesome. It reminds me to keep a proper posture and warns me of incoming onlookers! I am definitely happy with this purchase, it can run Witcher 3 with low graphics at 30 fps without problems. Not a gaming laptop, but an overall balanced laptop for work and personal use.

My laptop had a 2TB Samsung EVO 970 plus system drive and I bought this WD black to put in a USB enclosure. But before I did, I ran Crystal Disk Mark on the Samsung, cloned the system to this drive and ran it again on this drive. My laptop is only PCI 3 so I wasn't expecting the stated performance, and no surprise it didn't make those numbers. But it did perform a little better than the Samsung and ran a bit cooler also. So I kept this WD black as the system drive and wiped the Samsung and put that one in the USB enclosure. Now it's a few weeks later and so far so good.

....it appears so far. This is my second WD backup drive, and my first is still going strong and running flawlessly. I've tried ClickFree as a long-term storage solution, and it's been a bit of a nightmare. I bought this drive to replace it in fact, because I don't trust the aforementioned. This WD transfers files on & off itself quickly. It definitely is an External not a Removable, but it doesn't have the massive footprint (size) my old Verbatim External had. My one bone to pick: It is secure, yes. Kinda. When you install the software you can set it to always remain signed-in from your primary host-PC. Which makes sense, being that it's an External not a Removable! But I also use it with my laptop. I had to install the system-files on my laptop, then when I plug the drive into my laptop I need to manually run any one of the WD software applications so it prompts me for my password. Only after this can I see the drive when it's plugged-into my laptop. It would be nice if the drive was recognized but I was prompted for my password. I keep a copy of the system files off-disk, and I'm sure they're available free from WD's website.

I would have forgotten to get one of not reminded by you. Very important to have!

The only negative with the whole system is there is no way to password the system. My problem is guests can change music if we have a party which becomes a war. Need to be able to lock down the system. My only wish. Everything else is 5 star

Works fine, seen once and forgotten. That's the way a connector/cable should be.

My new laptop is awesome and very fast!
