I needed a decent walk around lens to matchup with my D7000. After reading and comparing reviews from several sites including the goldmine of opinions on this one, I decided to go for this middle of the road lens. It's not a cheap lens, but it is not one of the top and expensive 2.8 lenses. The continuous 4.0 is plenty fast, and it is very sharp across all f/stops. The zoom is smooth and the lens feels solid. So far I am extremely satisfied with this lens.

Debated buying this lens for a long time based of mix reviews. Have been very pleased so far with this as a walk around / Travel lens. Still plan to get a faster prime or two in the range, but this lens works well for me and I have no problem with the image quality for my use

Bought it as it was highly recommended by some online reviews. Great quality even on a bare walk. So easy to setup and use. Loved the backyard cinema with this projector and a simple screen.

This product is very portable and easy to set up and use. It is always in my gear bag. I like it so I can walk to see the composition and perspective away from the camera and take the shot at the right moment. I have also used it a lot for birds, and other wildlife.

Need several of these for portable communications components. They are the perfect size, light weight and you can't walk off the site with my equipment in this color!

After some hesitation I decided to get this as a portable walk-around camera, and I am glad I did. The compact size (and excellent build quality) are much appreciated, and the image quality is outstanding. The only downside of the camera is the inability to use filters, like polarizing or ND - and that issue is resolved with a Lens-Mate filter adapter made for the camera. This device has two parts - an adhesive-backed very thin component that is permanently stuck to the lens turret (it comes with a template to allow perfect positioning when installing) and a 52MM filter ring that is left on the back of the filter. When I want to use the CPL, it's a simple matter of twisting the filter onto the receiving end on the camera as they have a bayonet-type mount. Anyway, with that accessory (and one that gives the camera a little more gripping area) this becomes the complete package for virtually all general photography needs - I mean, I wouldn't recommend it for sports or astrophotography but given the IQ is orders of magnitude beter than cell phone output it is well worth it.
