I7 Gaming Desktop

This processor is perfect for my needs of gaming. I was on the fence about the i7 vs this one and I wasn't disappointed with the performance.

Great, small desktop that looks good and is made of quality materials. I got it with the 13th gen i7 and it is much faster than I expected. Love the Wolf Security. Well exceeded expectations.

This is a review for i7-9700, 500GB SSD, 16 GB RAM, no GPU version. This is an ideal workstation for professional applications that do not require the added cost of a GPU. Of course, this is configured to simplify adding a GPU at at later time, if needed for graphics-intensive work or gaming. It comes equipped with a beefy power supply and easy, no-tool access to the ample interior--with generous additional bays and connectors--which simply the process. As equipped, this makes a fantastic uber-desktop for handling MS office software, Adobe PDF, internet use, watching videos (and light editing), recording and mixing audio using Cubase or other DAW. It is exceptionally well made, using top quality parts. Owing to the heavy duty power supply and the SSD, this PC is nearly silent. The CPU (i7-9700) is a top performer for desktop office and audio tasks, and the included 16 GB RAM is more than enough to speed up workflow. The particular PCIe M.2 SSD is a high performance beast! Cubase and other software load quickly and this tower boots up unbelievably fast. HP support is exceptional, if you ever need it. One big advantage of getting a workstation model like this as opposed to a standard desktop, is that the 3-year onsite warranty and support are included in the price of the workstation. No added fees for upgraded warranty. B & H staff is consistently awesome at every stage--pre-ordering advice, suggesting upgraded components, website ordering, in-store pickup and Guest Technical Services. I used the onsite Guest Tech Services staff at the B & H store to install a secondary internal SSD that I purchased at the same time as this workstation. They were fast, professional, friendly, and extremely reasonably priced.

I'm traveling for now; and my gtx 970 desktop's PSU fried so i needed something to haul around that's more portable. bought the Lenovo LOQ with the i7-13700h cpu, 16 gigs ram, 4050 GPU on sale when it was 749.99; it became one of BH's top sellers and for good reason. for this price, it was a no brainer. it beats out all the competitors. there were no corners cut with this model. you're getting best in class CPU- a 13700h- not an i5 or a lesser i7 like a 13620h. No, you're getting the best intel has to offer which includes the faster memory (5600mhz). With this Lenovo LOQ, you're getting the best 4050 series laptop money can buy. PERIOD. and for hundred(s) of dollars less. the 6gb video card may bother some people, but one of the hardest pills to swallow is to be honest with yourself. people like the idea of future proofing (which i myself like as well). but will you honestly buy that future triple-A title that needs the 4060? i told myself back in 2019 i'd buy Cyberpunk 2077. 4 years later, i still haven't bought it and dont plan on doing so. I literally have a backlog of Triple-A games i haven't even touched: Witcher 2 and 3; the entire batman series (asylum, city, knight, etc), and many... many more. All of which this Laptop can play on Ultra with 60+frames!! - waay better than my gtx 970 desktop could ever do. it all comes down to knowing what your needs are and what works for you. for me... this Laptop is easily one of the best purchases i've made. HANDS DOWN.

I wanted a PC with an eight-generation I7 desktop CPU, not a slower laptop U-series chip, with plenty of ports including modern ones. This is the only box I could find other than farm more expensive gaming machines. Although there are a few negative reviews on A****, the NUC817HNK is perfect for me. It's powerful and up-to-date without being subject to the laptop "tax." I'm using it with Crucial CT2K16G4SFD824A DDR4 SO-DIMMs and a Samsung MZ-N6E1T0BW 860EVO M.2 SSD.

I wanted to repurpose a older I7 based workstation to gaming and this graphics card was a good upgrade since I had a limited amount of power and space available. MSI seem to always make quality products and B & H did their part just fine.

My son just put together in a system with an ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming Mini ITX AMD Motherboard, 32 GB Memory, 2 tb NVME. Used his old 2060 Video Card since still can't get the 3080 and still the machine seems incredibly fast compared to his old i7-9700. Windows installed in minutes and his Oculus Rift S runs smoother than ever. In the past it seemed the Ryzen 7's were lagging behind the i7's but does not appear so anymore. Big fan, highly recommend this CPU. 8 Cores - 16 Threads and just a beast of a processor!

I recently built a gaming pc with a i7 13700KF and this cooler cools the CPU wonderfully. It is very quiet most of the time, and even if the fan speed is spinning as fast as it can, it is still quiet enough to not be heard well if headphones are being worn. Even then, the fan rarely need to go that fast and the only time I have personally heard it go that fast was when I turned up the RPM in the BIOS. It really is a great cooler and I recommend it.

Purchased this motherboard as the backbone of a new gaming rig. populated with an Intel i7-14700KF, 64GB of Corsair Dominator RAM, 4TB of Samsung M.2 storage and topped with an ASUS RTX 4070Ti graphics board. build went quickly and booted up successfully first time. This has been the result with all of the ASUS M/Bs that I have purchased for my gaming, engineering design and simulation and business applications. I do not consider other brands when I need to build another machine, no reason to switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently built a gaming / photo editing machine with an i7-13700kf (with an AIO cooler), 64gb DDR5 RAM, an RTX 4080, and this absolutely huge 4tb SSD. This dream rig will serve for years of editing concert photography and playing games like Cyberpunk 2077.
