Image Of Standing Microphones

Shot this image hand held standing on the same spot. The first image is with the lens at 24mm, and the second image is with the lens at 240mm. Shutter speed is 1/40th sec. ISO is 2500. How can you beat this lens for any practical application.

If you find standing for long periods are interfering with get that image, THIS is the solution. Made popular by sports photographers, I now know why they like them so much. Very rugged, very well made and relatively light. I goes everywhere I do. At my age (60), it's the difference in whether I get out to shoot or not since my ankles are not what they used to be. Perfect when paired with a monopod for shooting. I love it!!!

Great standing!

We use these microphones when videotaping depositions. The quality of the sound is more important than the visual image and sometimes deponents are so soft spoken that only a top quality microphone can pick up there voice. This is the best mic we have found.

Good video quality. It gives a flatter image than the built-in camera on my laptop, which has more of a fish-eye lens look and makes my nose look even bigger than it already is. It's nice that you can zoom to adjust the width of the image using the downloadable app. The integrated sliding door over the lens is nice. It has two microphones but it does not output in stereo. I think the two microphones are used to cancel background noise. Attaches securely to the top of my monitor. No issues in getting it running. Smaller than I expected from the photos, but there is no basis for comparison in the photos. It recommends not connecting it to a USB hub, but I did and had no problems. I would get it again, and I did order a second one for another computer.

Standing design is only good for a cheap case (convection), bad for stability. I destroyed one of these by tipping it from standing to laying flat accidentally, while in use. How fragile is that? I managed to get a replacement after shipping it to WD operations in Vietnam (register it on the WD support website with your receipt and request RMA). If you will be carrying this drive around or it won't be in a place that it can't get knocked down flat, do yourself a favour and buy a vertical enclosure instead of the standing one.
