In Ear Monitor Split Snake

I'm using these (I bought 2) to split our live snake out to my older 32 chnl. Soundtracs Solo Logic console. 16 channels now go out to the PA, while 16 channels go out to our ProTools rig. Now I can dedicate 16 mic pres and EQ and levels to tape and the same to live sound. As the S8-3 Way still has another iso out I plan on sending this out to another small board for independent monitor mixes. These thing are invaluable! The sounds seems very transparent, I have not notice any difference in running through them as opposed to straight into the board. As the only other devices that do this are in the $1K+ range, these are awesome for the money! Connections are very solid and entire unit is quality.

I use this as a sub snake at Church. This replaces a bunch of long microphone cables to the back wall. I use two of these snakes to split up the vocalists and keep cable clutter to a minimum. I am pleased with the build quality. The only suggestion would be to make the channel numbers larger/easier to read.

I purchase to use on my church. We were tired of feedbacks in our monitors an purchased in ear monitors, but wanted a way to split all instruments. This unit was our solution, the band loves it. We can hear our instruments an enjoy our worship experience. Great gear

I recently purchased an ART S8 signal splitter in order to split stage signals for FOH and my in ear monitor rig. The out of box ease of use is awesome, totally plug and play, no external power config. required. The only downfall of this product is that it is so small in depth, requires having to reach far inside the rack to plug in the stage snake. This I can live with as it once hooked up, I can easily mix and hear exactly what I want in my in ear system.

Previous snake did not have the quarter-inch returns They give me a line with a monitor upfront and a line to carry a piano or some other electric instrument without messing with the six mics, which I use to set up a three station stage for acoustic instruments. I'm sure it's great to mic a drum set. Good snake. Not expensive.

This has got to be the most intelligent thing that’s ever fit into a single rack space. I bought this for our band (6-9 pieces depending on the show) for monitor mixes. Half of us use in ears and half wedges. We were tired of being at the mercy of whoever engineered monitors for us at any given venue, so I mounted it in a 4 space rack bag with a 16ch splitter snake. BOOM! Now we have our own monitor mixes right from our iPads, iPhones, etc., without the extra weight and space of a traditional mixing board, and we send a separate 16 channels out to FOH. If they’re using a newer studio live FOH mixer, we don’t even need the splitter snake. What a difference this has made! PLUS, we can mix FOH with it also, for our smaller gigs. If we had a full-time FOH engineer, we wouldn’t use the venue’s engineer, we would have then mix from the iPad. Kudos to Presonus on another stellar product, and allowing us to keep our sanity on stage. =D

We use a snake combining vocal mic, instrument mics, D.I.s, and monitor cables for each band member, running to their area of the stage from the stage digital mixer, and this product makes it easy to customize those changes and change out cables when necessary.

It is interesting to consider everywhere you can attach this and snake the camera into position. For desktop application it allows me to place a camera behind my monitor without impacting desk space as it is clamped to the monitor's base. It is long and can be difficult to get where you want so I recommend adjusting a segment to approx where you will want it and tighten and then do the same to the other side, then slightly loosen until it can be moved into its final position but not be a complete wet noodle. I am so glad I got this over a tripod for my desk cam.
