In Home Mini Camera For Elderly

The camera is a welcome addition to our home. It is great as security and as a way for my son to keep eye on elderly parent. Was amazed yesterday went to doctor and got message on phone " looks like no one is home, should I set alarm to away" Now that is real security.

I’ve have this product now for Three weeks now , I work a lot hours and with my elderly husband I’m always worrying, this product allows me to check on him and make sure he’s safe at home , I’m very happy with it and I will recommend to anyone, even if it is to check on your pets it is an wonderful feeling to see that everything it’s good at home when you’re not there ! Great for elderly eyes!

This camcorder was bought for a Senior Center project for interviewing elderly people who want to tell their story and have it on a professional quality DVD. I am a member of the Center and am the volunteer technical advisor for the Video project. I thoroughly researched camcorders with the the intended use in mind for the Senior Center and had no qualms having them buy it. The Canon S200 is perfect for recording interviews. I didn't need the higher end models because the built-in memories were more a nuisance since the camera will be in a separate location than the computer and I will be carrying the chip to the computer. Since most use will be indoors, the viewfinder provided on the top of the line model is not necessary. The optics of all three medels are the same, so I tried to save the Center some money. I am still learning how to set the camcorder up so it will be easy to train other users. I don't want to be the only camera person.

I am 88 and not able to hold as steadily my camera. This lens has eliminated that problem especially since I cannot lug around an elderly heavy tripod etc. It has been a wonderful acquisition!

This was a gift for an elderly woman. This camera was chosen because of its ease of use and functionality. She is enjoying taking pictures and learning what the camera will do which brings me pleasure!

I bought this for an elderly family friend who found her new Nikon Coolpix L320 was a bit difficult to handle due to the small size of the camera body and the even smaller controls. This handle attaches quickly and can be used in the up or down handle position. Having this handle attached provides a steady grip and has completely changed her experience with the camera. She loves it. This is a really nice camera accessory to have to help any seniors who might have difficulty holding and using the smaller sized cameras.

I am using the Videomic Pro R on my Olympus E-M 1 camera to record Legacy Videos of elderly people. The audio is great! Nice and clean. I like being able to add 20db or drop 10db with the flick of a switch on the mic. The shock mount is amazing. Just what I needed.

The new Mac mini is much improved over the older versions. My first Mac was a mini back in 2007. Since then I owned a MacBook Air 2011(which I still own) an iMac 27 in 2014 and a 2016 MacBook Pro 16. I work at home more now like everyone else and since my wife needed a new laptop we decided to purchase the Mini and pass the MacBook Pro to her. The mini has the same configuration as the more expensive MacBook Pro, i7 intel chip, 16gb RAM and a 256gm SSD drive, so this was a lateral move. The mini is super fast and connected to two 21 4k LG monitors it delivers a great experience. I was concerned about heat, since the MacBook Pro would get pretty hot while connected to the 2 monitors but the mini handles them just fine. It's compact and freed up more real estate on my desk. No regrets switching to the Mini and from what I read the next generation of Mini's will be even more powerful and still at a decent price point. So if you work from home and need a new powerful computer without breaking the bank, Mini is the way to go.
