I'm an independent film maker/student. Made the mistake of getting the soft case with my first Lowel light kit. After a few uses, the zipper broke... the bag is still functional, but can't be secured. The molded case is tough, secure, and can be pulled along on its wheels. It's not as over-built as a Pelican case, but it doesn't hold anything that probably can't be dried out if immersed. 5 |

I use this for small independent movies, student film projects as well as filming my friends weddings. I love the fact that you can easily extend and shorten it with only three knobs. The adjustable fluid head is awesome! I also love the carrying case with the shoulder strap. That makes it easy when you have to carry a lot of equipment. I like that it was very reasonably priced for what you get. It is great for a student with a limited budget. I haven't found any negatives about it. 5 |
