This is a great backup. Used for computers, scanners, surveillance and security systems, and other products that you don't want to have to reboot after a power interruption. i tried these out on a couple of small surveillance systems to hold the recorder and modem/router instead of using a rack. More rugged than I anticipated. Nothing flimsy here. I think you could do a pullup on one as long as you lag into a couple of studs. I didn't need them on these jobs, but I like the lower and rear cable ports. I'll be using more of these. 5 |

Many industrial automation systems still use serial communications. Since a serial port is no longer included in most laptops, an add on port is essential. The Keyspan unit is the only one I have found that fully supports serial communication and has worked with all interfaces I have tried, even picky ones like Allen Bradley. 5 |
