Information About Av Central Stereo Receivers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because I had four laptops that I needed to gather all the old information and pictures to one Central point. So I got this hard drive they have plenty of room and was absolutely a piece of cake to get to come up on the computer. Seems to be very well-made and durable will have forever.

I've been using a Vello transmitter & 2 receivers for a while with great success. About to open a studio. I have 2 bodies & 5 flash so I ordered 3 more receivers and another transmitter so I could set up all 5 flashes & have a transmitter on both bodies so I won't have to swap lenses or move lights. They work great! The strength of the signal is great, they fire from separate rooms, different floors, even through walls. Not TTL, but I prefer to shoot everything manual so not an issue for me. I set the 5 receivers on a different channel, 1 through 5, that way I can see what each light does separately. Once I have them as I like them, just switch the transmitter to "all channels" and they all fire for the shot.

Have owned numerous AV receivers over the years. The str-an1000 may not be the best one, but if you have a recent Sony Bravia OLED TV with center channel capability, it's great. The combination gives you a great surround sound setup without a bulky center speaker that can be difficult to place.

I bought several of these to integrate AV receivers into my home automation. The pinout document is the easiest to read that I've seen for this type of product. Thanks!

I had a bad ground loop hum when connecting an AV receivers unbalanced outputs to a mixer. This fixed it.

Use these for running lavs receivers into a mixer/recorder. No problems, but you have to be aware that it doesnt work for some devices depending on mono/stereo issues. For example this doesnt work to run a Sennheiser G4 RX unit into a single XLR input- that requires a stereo mini to split XLR channels.

Perfect replacement chord for some stereo receivers; in my case an RS 700 Yamaha receiver. Also works for some Fender guitar amplifiers. Did the job perfectly.

TR of the 3.5mm end of this cable are both wired to pin 2 of the XLR, so your stereo information gets summed to mono. Pins 1 & 3 of the XLR are connected to shield. XLR connector is by Rean and very nice.
