[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to install this Solid State Drive with no problems at all. It is high quality and works great. I replaced an old mechanical spinning hard drive with this one and I am really pleased with it. The computer runs faster and there are no problems at all with heat. You can feel the quality of the item right when it comes out of the package. I can't say one bad thing about it. If you are looking for a Solid State Drive upgrade, I highly recommend this one! 5 |

Bought this to boot my 2011 iMac from an external drive I useD 2 SSDs 500gb as boot drive created with CCC Backup and a 2TB for my photos and LR catalogue and previews. Before conversion the iMac took more than 5minutes to boot up through login to installing LR. Now it takes 20 seconds to login screen and another 15 to load LR. The toaster was recommended by CCC Backuo .. read their comprehensive guide first. 5 |

I have a 2011 iMac. I do video editing and needed some extra horse power for multicam edits. My specs were pretty good ( 3.4 Ghz Intel i7, AMD Graphics with 2 gigs memory, 32 Gigs RAM), but my traditional platter drive was KILLING Me!Using OWCs home install kit, I installed the drive myself without hassle, and now it's like I have a whole new system!The Pro is a little bit more expensive than the Evo - but after you see what your system can do (better benchmark tests), it's worth it. 5 |
