Install Windows Lenovo Laptop

Was converting a little used 11.6 Lenovo laptop from windows 7 to a chrome book. I had problems getting the lenovo to recognize the usb Sandisk that I had put the Chrome recovery software on. Had read to try another brand of USB stick so I bought this Transcend 16 GB drive and the Lenovo recognized it right away. The installation went well and we kept it out of a landfill.

I work with two Kubuntu 12.04 Linux workstations continuously connected, and a Windows 7 employer's Lenovo 530 laptop that I connect every evening on returning home and disconnect every morning when heading to work (via a Lenovo docking station continuously connected). My monitors are dual Dell 3007 2560x1600 dual-link DVI, keyboard Avant Stellar (PCI connector via USB adapter), with a Microsoft wireless mouse. When using the laptop, I can use its screen in addition to the two Dells. I can switch among these seamlessly. I even have the less-used Linux workstation normally sleeping, as it wakes up properly as soon as I select it. A nice touch is that one Dual-Link DVI cable of each pair has the USB and audio cables integrated into it, keeping the wiring rat's nest manageable. The only annoyance is that, inevitably, because the external monitor configuration for the Windows 7 Lenovo 530 at the office differs, I need to reposition some windows when moving between home and office. But once I got the Windows configuration set up properly, the laptop at least automatically recognizes which monitor configuration it's connected to. (Because the DVI outputs of the Lenovo docking station are single-link, it's necessary to use its HDMI outputs and interpose Accel HDMI to Dual DVI converters between it and the MiniView.)

i use to change my slow hard drive in my lenovo twist (Thinkpad S230u) i change also the windows 8 which are garbage and i did a clean install of windows 7 ultimate and wow works better than new. All the drivers are at lenovo's website just make sure you change the bios to install windows 8 otherwise you can't install it.

I bought this for my Lenovo T440p, and the install was great. It shows up in my laptop now, and I have triple the storage for 3 minutes of work. This was also the most reasonable price I could find a brand name SSD of this kind, which is a bit esoteric these days. Overall, it was a great find.

I received this memory in a very timely fashion once B&H informed me that it was available. It was easy to install and my Lenovo laptop recognized the extra memory without any issues.

I installed this into my Lenovo T420i Laptop in about 3 minutes. Loaded a clean install of Win 7 Pro (64bit), installed the Samsung Magician Software which allowed me to enable RAPID mode. This machine is now lightning fast, it's like a 'whole new world'. It boots super fast, all my applications load quickly and without any lag, I couldn't be happier.

Easy install and a major upgrade from the Lenovo built-in camera on my laptop. Great light correction, solid controls, and great ease of use. Worth the investment.
