Installing Laminate Sheet Edge Or Top First

At first I was unsure of how these worked.� They're on a sheet of four squares. Each square is two corners, so 8 per sheet, multiple sheets in a pack, depending on the size. So pull one side off gently. I squeezed the edge to separate it top from the base to open it to slide over the corner of the print. I hang the bottom of a print over the edge of the desk to slide them on, then raise and slide it up into place on the back mat piece. I use these on the bottom and smaller corners on the top.

I didn't know what I was missing all these years getting along with guillotine trimmers. This thing is fantastic! Super well made, square, slides through paper and laminate with ease. In fact, it's just fun to use. I am mainly trimming 5 mil and 10 mil laminate sheets, and it does so very cleanly, with little effort. It can cut very narrow strips. It never folds down the edge of the laminate like a guillotine trimmer sometimes does. And it is easy to view the edge I am cutting. Love it.

Only thing is that when negatives aren't flat, it lifts the sheet up so the whole along the edge don't align, but that is easily fixed after flattening them. Sheets are great and not too big but big enough to comfortably fit negatives and contact sheet behind.

Great product, great value. One suggestion for taking off the wrapper without bits and pieces getting left on the sides of discs, is to start peeling it from the edge (it is a sheet of plastic wrapped around and onto itself). Peel it from the open edge, and peel down cleanly the full height of the disc stack, then pull the entire sheet around and around the stack of discs to pull it is away cleanly. Note that depending on how you're holding them, they could possibly fall, so you may want to do this over a table, or you can perhaps even place it on the table and roll it as you pull. (There is also a 100-pack that comes in a hard container without the wrapper around the discs themselves, though it costs a bit more.) Once you finish peeling off the wrapper, if you have spindle from a pack that came in a hard case, place it on that, or place it into some container, or just place it in 2-3 stacks on your desk, so it doesn't fall over.

You could look all this stuff up online, print it, then laminate it yourself, or you could just spend $5.
