Installing Ssd To Windows Gaming Computer

This was my first NVMe SSD purchase, and I could not be happier! It's been running great, and my temps are great too! I was surprised how fast Windows 11 installed on this thing. It had those files copied over and installing in hardly no time. I've installed Windows many times, but never seen it install that fast. No issues with gaming. Games load pretty fast. Drive installation was easy. My motherboard had an included beefy heatsink, so I did not have to purchase one. So keep in mind, you don't need to buy a heatsink if your motherboard already includes a decent one. Yeah, so far all is good and hoping it stays this way! And I would certainly recommend this drive! Lastly, be sure to pull off the protective film covering the thermal pad on back of the heatsink before installing your drive. I've watched some YouTube videos of some installing their drives and forgetting to remove that film. That's not good! My System Below. System Name: GO DAWGS! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I have been impressed with this SSD. I am using this as a second drive for my computer. Installing software, transferring data, and opening programs happens really fast. As a test, I transferred 30gigs of videos from my first SSD to this one and it completed in 30 seconds. Installation is easy but I wish it came with a screw to hold it in place for my motherboard. I had to find one to use to complete the install.

I use this on my MacBook Pro 15 and Windows gaming computer and it worked fast copying to/from when I don't want to hook up a big SSD drive and carry that around.

I am very pleased with this SanDisk SSD. I am shocked at how fast it is. I turn on my computer and all I see is the bios screen and then Windows, absolutely no loading screen. My computer is ready to go within 5 seconds of me turning it on in the morning. Navigating around the internet is fast also, I will click on a link and it loads instantly, Setup was easy, I just plugged the SSD in and installed windows 10 in about 20 minutes from a bootable USB stick. I would definitely recommend this drive and SanDisk is a trusted name in storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my SSD in the mail and have had a very positive experience so far since having my son help me install it. This is for use on the "family computer", and to be honest, we haven't upgraded in a LONG time. My youngest was insisting we upgrade, and my oldest insisted we build from scratch. Our previous computer still had a HDD which had EVERYTHING (our instance of Windows, files, apps) all installed on it. We eventually got a SSD to swap out some things to run off of that. This time around, my oldest got me to pick this up so that we could install Windows and frequently used apps on it. After spending the first week on the new computer, I completely understand why he had us do it this way! applications load quickly and seamlessly, no more long loading times where you think you didn't "double click" on something only to click again and open up two instances of it, no more freezing, no more headaches! My youngest is also loving it as he uses it for virtual classes and online gaming; he downloads the main game he's playing at the time (not all of them since we don't want him to hog it all himself!) and he says there's a noticeable difference in the boot up, loading, and exit of the game software. My oldest said that building the new PC for us was really easy (took him about 2 hours overall since he's a perfectionist) and installing the SSD was effortless: A sturdy piece that was easy to connect to the motherboard and build around. Working with computers often, he's said he's heard of other SSDs snapping in pieces when being installed, but that it was never a concern with this one. I'm so happy with our new computer and I look forward to the many memories each of us will create using it in the future!

I purchased the ssd before upgrading to Windows 10 on an older computer. Unfortunately, since the computer is older I cannot vouch for this drives performance but I will say this. The Samsung software seamlessly cloned my tiny ssd to this one and the move to Windows 10 was good. If you haven't moved your operating system to an ssd yet you are missing out. Price is no longer an issue. The performance is worth it.

I picked up this DIMM after it was recommended to me from a friend who already had a gaming PC. The DIMM boots up extremely quickly so I don’t have to ever wait when it comes to loading anything. Since the PC is also a multipurpose work computer it also helps for every day tasks as well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I’m not much of a gamer, but I do a lot of design work, and also stream a lot on my ASUS Viviobook. My laptop came with 1TB and my computer guy was like you really want to switch the SSD. Of course I said yes. I haven’t noticed any lagging when computer was powered back on. Opening programs are fast and even downloading movies from streaming services is quick. This 520N is marketed for gaming on small devices that are strictly for gaming, but this SSD is very beneficial if you do a lot of high performance things on your smaller and ultra thin laptops. Price seems high, but you’re getting 2TB and I think Seagate priced their product fairly.
