Instax Monochrome Mini Film 10 Shot Pack

I’ll admit I probably wouldn’t have purchased this if I hadn’t found a used one on B&H. After adding the lens kit it was still pretty pricey and I had plenty of “what did I just do?” moments between ordering and receiving it. However once I shot my first pack of film all doubts disappeared. My kids have owned Instax Minis for a couple of years but I now realize that most Instax cameras are not doing the film justice. The colors and contrast one can get are a far cry from the typical overexposed instant photo of yore but it can do “dreamy” when called upon too. I love the unknown element and happy accidents that can occur (even if it’s just to compensate for a lack of ideas on my part). There’s definitely a learning curve in setting the right aperture given the way sensor works and I am still slower to focus than I would like but the results that this camera delivers can be really great and more importantly the whole process is tremendous fun. With film at less than $0.50 / shot, there’s no reason to hold back from experimentation. Do yourself a favor and throw a 6-pack of film in your cart before purchase. If there is a downside it’s that I’m now thinking about an RF70 much to the horror of my wallet.

great deal for a two pack! film is a fun size and photos are sharp. i will be using it with my instax mini 25.

Pros: The economy of the film. Instax offers 10 pictures whereas Polaroid with Impossible film offers only 8 pictures. A single pack (8 pictures) of Polaroid Instax film goes for $24.95, whereas a twin pack (20 pictures) of Instax Wide film goes for just under $16. So 80 cents vs. 3 dollars plus per print. Also, kids love seeing the shots develop. Cons: Need to have more albums available that match this print size. Not sure if these prints will fade in 5-10 years time.

This film is expensive, but B&H has some of the cheapest film for the mini Instax cameras.

This value pack of two film canisters is a great deal especially since you can get through one 10-shot film canister pretty quick.

Instax Mini Film goes with corresponding camera, so you have to buy this film. However, B and H sell the film at a fraction of the cost! Seriously, it's amazing how cheap it is at the store (it's even cheaper than @). I stocked up and bought 4 boxes of film. BUY THE FILM HERE!

I use this film with the Fujifilm instax mini 7S Instant Film Camera. This film develops in a minute or so and it comes out very clear for instant film. You can see it develop right before your eyes. The price is great too and it is fun for special occastions or to get a vintage looking shot. It is a bit smaller than the stereotypical polaroid film, but it gets the job done and it is much cheaper than Impossible film.

Great, easy-to-use film and camera. The five-pack of instax Wide Instant Film was exactly what I needed.
