I play drums in a Blues / Jazz jam band. I needed a simple stand for a Shure SM57 microphone to record the kick drum. Other short stands with a boom have to be contorted to line up with the resonant head's port hole (8 from floor to dead center). Coupled with a standard Shure mic clip, the Auray stand is perfect! The SM57 is an instrumental mic but it still works great as an interview mic as well for videos. 5 |
