You've heard the phrase, Death by a thousand cuts. A slow degradation till it just fails. The bands for my U87 were getting looser and looser. I just had no idea HOW loose. I finally bought some new bands, and wow. I should have done this YEARS ago. They fit perfectly, brought the microphone back to the center of the basket, and all is right with the world.
