Exactly what you'd expect out of a good insulated bottle. Keeps cold all day. 5 |

First, I live in NW Florida so I seldom need gloves, and when I do, liners are all I need. That said, I just returned from visiting the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and while it didn't get very cold there (mid 30's) I did get a chance to wear them on a couple of occasions. The first thing I noticed were these seemed thicker than most liners and they were definitely warmer than most liners I have used in the past. They fit very well except the fingers were just a tiny bit long. The extra length is not unusual (I guess I have short fingers), and these were a far better fit than most liners I have used. I waited too long before putting these on the first time I used them and my fingers were already cold. This usually means my fingers never warm up, so I was very surprised when, after about 30-45 minutes, my fingers did warm back up and became more flexible again. I don't believe that has ever happened before so I was VERY surprised and HAPPY about that. Before these, I have used Smartwool liners (warm but the fingers are way too long), Patagonia liners (VERY thin, great fit, finger length was perfect, but they provided NO warmth to speak of), and a pair made from Thermax (I forget the brand). These Vallerret were, by far, the best liners I've ever worn. I understand they are wind proof also, but there was no wind blowing when I used them so I cannot comment on that. Also, I didn't have cell phone coverage where I was so I didn't see if the conductive finger/thumb worked or not, but they did keep my hands warm and I was very happy about that. 5 |

Luckily I don't need much in the way of insulated gear here in GA and SC, but it does get cold early in the morning, and these are perfect. The nonslip palm material grips the camera making it very comfortable, no worries of the camera sliding out of your hands. The pull down finger and thumb sections being held back by small magnets is a huge advancement over the old velcro (I still have some of these packed away). Overall, the quality and price made these a no brainer. I may order another pair to just keep in my car. 5 |

After almost getting frostbite on my hands on a recent photography trip to Vermont, I purchased these liners. The Heat Company makes another liner, but that one doesn't have as much leather as this one. It's worth the extra few dollars to get the Durable version. They fit as expected, and the sizing chart seems to be accurate. The liners do provide some protection against cold, but are meant to be just liners, for example with the Heat Company Shell Full-Leather Mitten that I also purchased in the same size. I wore the liners without the mittens last time I was out. The temp was about 30F degrees, and my hands were fairly cold after 20 minutes. The buttons on the camera work well with the liners, but not so much so using the touch screen LCD. For temps lower than 30, I will always be using them in conjunction with the mitten. The mittens have a zipper that allows you to remove fingers and/or thumb, and flip them to the back of the mitten where they can be attached magnetically so they don't flap around. I also like that there is a zipper on the back of the mitten designed to hold a hand warmer. Workmanship and quality of the liners and mittens is excellent, and I would recommend these two products. 5 |

These are clearly the warmest and best glove liners that I have ever had. Expensive, but for me, worth it. They are warmer and allow me to wear them alone at lower temps; however, I realize these aren't expected to protect you from cold. When cold, I used them with the Heat Company fingerless glove and mitten. With the liner, I can fairly easily manipulate the controls on my Sony mirrorless cameras. They also can be used on the touch screen. The only strange thing about them are the little 'sticky' things on the inside of the fingers and palms. They make it easier to hold things, but there are a couple of times that the palm 'stickies' are a nuisance. When driving, they keep the steering wheel from sliding thru your hand when turning. And when you put on the mittens, the liners then to cling to the mittens making them more difficult to put on. 5 |

It's always a pleasant surprise when everything works as advertised. I bought these gloves for birding in cold weather. I use them with thin merino wool glove liners, and a hand warmer packet in the mitten top half. That all seems to work down to about 35 F, 2 C, for a couple of hours. Due to climate change and unseasonal temperatures I have not been able to test them to lower temperatures. The flip-off covers are reasonably easy to use, with exposed fingers. With the covers up, it takes a few seconds longer, but not a deal breaker. The four-finger cover is easier to use than the thumb cover. If it's not super cold, I compromise by keeping the left hand completely covered, and the right hand uncovered. When open, the magnets keep them in place securely, with no flopping around, and completely unnoticeable. They definitely don't look as goofy as in the pictures :-) and you should be looking at your subjects and not your mittens anyway. A note about sizing: The Heat Co's sizing chart assumes you use no glove liner or thin ones. If you want to use thick liners, like their Polartec Wind Pro liners, go up at least one size, or better yet, measure your hand with the thick liners on! 5 |

I have the Heat 3 Smart Shell which is itself great, but have been using those with lighter-weight fleece liners. That combo just wasn't doing the job when the Colorado winters are really cold and windy. This old guys hands have just been too cold too many times and now it doesn't take that much to make them painfully cold. Today the temperature with the windchill was 17 and I needed to be out in that quite some time. I gave these liners inside the Smart Shells quite the test. Yes, my hands were a little cool, but even having the shells open and folded back a couple of times with just the Durable Liners covering my fingers, my hands were never really cold. My impression is that the Polartec Wind Pro really works. I love this combination Heat Company shell and liner. 5 |

After researching cold weather gloves, I chose the Heat Company system; specifically, the Full-Leather Mitten with two different liners. I've found that these gloves are excellent for photography and, especially with the liners, keep my hands quite warm and allow me to use my cameras. 5 |

I have the Heat Company 3 soft shell mittens with liners. That one is for extreme cold. I got this because my Heat Company liners by themselves wore out and were not water resistant. This is perfect for dog walking, with intermittent phone use, and easy to handle any poop bag tying etc. It is warm enough for my usual walk in Massachusetts, and certainly warmer than gloves. 5 |
