Intel Arc Control Game Compatibility

Game changer. Great addition to the Arc!

Installed it in the Intel NUC unit. Works well and no issues with boot or compatibility. Intel NUC 10 BXNUC10i5FNKN1

This enclosure works very well with the Intel Arc A770 I installed in it. Installation was easy, the handle is great. No issues so far (besides the issues common to all eGPU enclosures). The fans stay off until the unit warms up, but even then they're quiet.

Backward compatibility is important when you have been in this game for long (my first Mac bought in 1993). This adapter made it possible to daisy-chain an old LaCie Firewire 400 drive containing old photos through first a Firewire to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor and then the current Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter. Plug and play. Worked like a charm.

Before I got this processor I had a dual core 3.3 gz intel processor. It was trash. The only game that needs all of the processing power possible is Arma 3, which I can now play at high/very high settings. My performance overall has been trippled. I have the noctual d15 mounted as my fan. I'd recommend this if you have anything below an i5 7600k. If you've got above that, wait for the price to go down a bit.

I use these as surrounds with the Arc and gen 3 sub, absolutely a game changer, best surrounds I have heard in a soundbar setup.

Easy to set up, the ARC lets you use 1 remote ( appletv) to control “ EVERYTHING”

I'm using it on a Red Komodo and the aperture control doesn't work. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue on Red's part or Metabones. I'll withhold my judgement until I get confirmation. Until then, love the opportunity to get a full frame lens projected onto the Komodo's smaller sensor.

I changed my previous Apple TV4k model for this new model (third generation) and I really think it's excellent. The remote control is much better than the previous one, and it also has better compatibility with my smart TV. I'm very happy with my purchase and I recommend it. B&H is very good in everything as always.
