Intel Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X550 T1 Driver

Worked with a dell converged network adapter and a UniFi switch 5 |

It works, however the driver on ASUS' website were causing my input devices to stutter and the adapter didn't seem to work that great either, downloading the drivers straight from Intel (Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200) solved all issues. Another thing to note, is the Bluetooth capabilities require a spare USB2.0 header on the motherboard, to where a cable from the card connects to. It was never mentioned anywhere, but aside from that, it works. 5 |

This RealTek GB NIC works great in our older DELL PowerEdge 2850 server!! We needed to replace an Intel Pro/1000 MT GB server adapter that went bad and bought another Intel GB adapter but the server would/could NOT recognize the new Intel NIC. Tried everything to remove the installed Intel NIC driver so it would take the new Intel NIC but the Intel NIC just would not be recognized - driver would not install correctly. The SOLUTION was to install the RealTek GB NIC card (non-Intel NIC). The RealTek NIC was recognized by the server upon bootup. I updated the RealTek driver that was installed by Windows Server 2003 using the CD that came with the NIC card. It worked with no problem. Am going to team two of them in the server later. Note: Make sure you update any driver installed automatically by your computer, itself, with the CD driver. 5 |

Among several NUC's at home, I replaced a 5th gen NUC with this 13th gen model. It serves as a media center for my music and photo collection, hence the 1 TB SSD and 16 GB memory. For those unfamiliar with the Intel NUC product line, they are small (4x4), very quiet, well-engineered and supported by a three-year warranty. Over the years, I have installed dozens for customers and not a single one has failed so far. The performance is impressive. The clip that keeps the power cord from inadvertently being yanked out is a fairly recent and useful addition. Intel has excellent documentation (assembly instructions, product specs) that I recommend. During installation of Windows 11, neither the wired Ethernet nor the Wi-Fi adapter were recognized which required an Ethernet-to-USB adapter. Others may add the network drivers during installation. Installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant gets the optimal BIOS, firmware and drivers in place. Now that Intel has sold the NUC line to Asus, I hope that they will continue the development and support of this great product. 5 |

This adapter works well with Linux, but will require the user to compile the open source driver and install it. Careful instructions are on the web. I use it on a workstation normally attached to ethernet, but occasionally in need of wireless access. Quick speed test on a strong signal was about 250Mbps (650Mbps on ethernet). 5 |

I'm using this with my older Macbook pro that does not have USB-C or ethernet ports. I just plugged this adapter in my USB-A port and it worked right away. The computer saw it and connected to my network without any issues. This will come in super handy when I need the fastest signal possible. Or if the wireless connection is spotty. I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm happy with this adapter and it would be hard to beat at this price. This is a very affordable solution if your computer does not have its own ethernet port. I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to. 5 |

The Intel NUCs hit in (almost) every way for a mini PC. If you can use a small but powerful machine, definitely consider one of these. Here at B&H I got the barebones i3 kit (without the drive or any memory) and installed MS Windows, memory, and the drive myself. Two tips for self-installers based on the other reviews: 1) Pressing the power button for three but *not* four seconds takes you to a menu allowing you to set options like boot order, make sure LAN is turned on, etc. 2) If installing Windows 11, you might only need to download the wireless driver to a USB and run the driver installer from there after Windows install to get connectivity. Afterwards, Windows Update will help you take care of the rest of the drivers, BIOS updates, etc. 5 |

Used two of these on a Dell 7010 i5-3470 with the built-in Intel 2500 graphics, together with the built-in VGA port, to run THREE VGA monitors simultaneously under Windows 10 . Need to disable the Dell driver and then get the driver from Intel as Dell disable 3-screen functionality. I was a little sceptical at first whether these would do the job, as many 'active' adapters are a lot more expensive. An added bonis is that these don't need a separate USB port for power. 5 |
