Intel Processors For Desktop Computers
Lawrence | 2024-09-24 08:24:36 |
With one word of caution. AT THIS WRITING AMD processors support the new PCIE 4.0 standard that this drive operates on. Intel processors are not scheduled to be released that support this new protocol until 2021. I paired this drive up with a non PCIE 4.0 Intel chipset (based on the product's advertisement that it is backwards compatible). I can say truthfully it is not backwards compatible. When I employed this drive I received error, after error, after error from Windows 10, notwithstanding that Samsung has not yet even released a Windows driver for this drive. It used the Windows 10 default 2006 Microsoft driver to operate with. Once I took it out of that system and put in a PCIE 3.0 drive that the system supported, all errors disappeared. Intel processor users will just have to wait until later this years when Intel chipsets supporting this new protocol are are mainstream. 5 |

AMD processors are the best processors that you can buy for the price. They are very dependable and are becoming more powerful than the Intel processors that are in the same generation. I built a powerhouse of a PC using this processor and couldn't be more satisfied. 5 |

I was looking around to see what other manufacturers were doing to creative desktops. Almost all were going to 8 core processors, including Apple. Unfortunately there's no 8 core solution in the 12th gen of Intel, so the logical choice was to go for 12 cores. So far it runs Lightroom, Photoshop, some gaming, and Office without any issues. The stock cooler is also very quiet compared to previous generations. It does get warm, so make sure your BIOS fan controls are configured properly. Asus surprised me with enabling enhanced perfomance by default, but after setting back to the default Intel values, it runs just fine and cooler. 5 |

Works exactly as expected. I have used Transcend for dozens of Intel NUC computers, and they work great. 5 |

AMD has finally, and fully, eclipsed Intel's performance in desktop PCs 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC is a powerful, transportable desktop computer. My computer is very snappy with the Intel Core i7-12700T processor, 16 GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. The Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 wireless card is also quite good with excellent link speeds. This "desktop" is so small with its mini form factor. Just disconnect four cables (power, monitor, wired keyboard, and mouse) and it can be easily transported in a briefcase or laptop bag. When setting up the computer, I found that a speaker is already conveniently installed inside the mini case. 5 |

I wanted to use my monitor for an intel Macbook Pro and a PowerPC Mac desktop. This DVI switch is doing what I wanted. It is easy to go from one computer to another. In my case many use the desktop and I am the only one using the Laptop. I am also using wireless mouse and key board for the laptop, while the desktop is connected by usb. 5 |

Added this 8Gb stick to my new Dell 3671 I5 intel 2666 desktop. No problems or conflicts. Went from 1 stick dell 8mb to 2 sticks that are compatible. Now I have 16GB 's of Ram and a smile on my face! 5 |

I use the Arc Mouse for my desktop, laptop and netbook computers. Very easy to use and the design makes it very comfortable to use. It takes just a little adjustment after switching from an optical mouse, but you will not go back. 5 |

I know that there are several companies out there who make good memory cards, but when I check my stash of memory cards, most of them say SanDisk on them. Likewise, most of the back-up memory for my Desktop computers say Western Digital (who owns SanDisk). My advice is to learn about the nuances of memory cards. The small print on similar looking cards distinguishes the capability, not just in GB capacity, but the generation of chip and the speed for reading and downloading. I also own some Sony and Delkin memory cards, but SanDisk makes good stuff. 5 |
