I recently upgraded my internet service to CenturyLink Fiber (100/50). With Smart QOS enabled on my ER Lite model, it would top out at about half of the possible download speeds (upload seemed fine). I decided to upgrade to the ER-4 to improve performance and it is definitely more powerful. No lag with Smart QOS enabled. Upgrading was easy. I used the same config file so I was up and running in no time. Also love that I can use EdgeOS for VLAN tagging so I can avoid using a CL device between the ONT and this router. Awesome. 5 |

I have Xfinity and one day I decide to do a speed test, I’m paying for gigabit internet and was barely getting 70 mbps with their provided router. I decided to upgrade and this thing WORKS it was an easy install, a lot smaller than the previous one and handles my internet speed easily no bottlenecks or anything. The Netgear CM1000 was a breeze to setup and once registered, I ran an internet speed test to find out that I was now getting the maximum speed for my service. Highly recommend it. 5 |

This modem allows me to use my gigabyte Internet to its full capacity with no problem. Speed test shows 965 MB per second Internet speed download. 5 |

Great little helper. While I have not had the chance to test this at the maximum range I do not expect any difficulties. The product works well and is light weight, a bonus in my opinion. I would recommend a lanyard for the trigger as it tends to get lost in the camera bag. 5 |
