I decided to upgrade and this thing WORKS it was an easy install, a lot smaller than the previous one and handles my internet speed easily no bottlenecks or anything. The words nobody wants to hear from their internet provider: Sir, we grandfathered your old internet modem into our system over two years ago. Out with the old (archaic 4 channel Motorola SURFboard) and in with the new (Arris 32 channel SURFboard). My family was experiencing weekly bog downs on our old modem that became daily bog downs and lots of frustration. Going to a 32 channel modem from an old 4 channel modem is like night and day difference in download and upload speeds. Realize that internet speed is primarily determined by your computer's processor speed, but having 32 channels available with open flow sure makes it feel like we switched from a Ford Pinto to a Ferrari. No more bog downs! Dropbox uploads and downloads have sped up exponentially. For a family of four or five, this is the way to go! Everyone can stream WiFi. Happy family! One of the best investments I've made this year. Highly recommended. 5 |
