This lens is not for you if your intend to take pictures of news paper and test patterns, view you photos at 200% to examine pixels, and are primarily interested in collecting equipment. If however you are interested in spectacular photographs that have dynamic color, contract and near 3D imagery then this is for you. I have the 35 2.0 and 85 1.4 and they all deliver a natural color and presents that is extraordinary. When one looks holistically at the photo produced by these lenses (if one can separate oneself from the singular measure of sharp)they will see a vivid and realistic reflection of what was photographed.
