I already had one of these outdoors but needed to do a point-to-point link to allow my 5G internet device to serve my home network. I found that they work great for point-to-point links too, serving up more than the 5g device will support. You do need to use the Ubiquiti config server but that does make it fairly easy to standardize your config across all your APs. Supports VLANs to for extra fun. Includes the PoE injector in case you need one. 5 |

Just what I needed. Several times a day I was having wifi drop outs with my current router. I was first using the wifi built into the modem from the cable company. Then added an older AC router as a repeater. Still had issues. But this new mesh style router fixed it all. No more drop outs. The only thing I wish I could do is dedicate the 5G band. I would like to only have the 5G connecting to my TV. But with this router, it automatically switches between the 2.4/5 bands as needed. And finally, the installation and setup was effortless. So simple. I've been a fan of TP-Link for some time. And this just keeps me coming back. 5 |

Huge upgrade over my previous router which was a Netgear XR1000. The two 5G bands are a game changer. There are also no longer any dead zones in my house. Just fyi, this is a beast of a router in size as well. So make sure you have adequate space wherever you intend on placing it. 5 |
