Ip Address Internet Surfboard Modem Behind Router

I got this to replace an ARRIS SURFboard SB6183. Comcast increased my internet speed and advised me to upgrade my modem. This is modem is excellent. Installing on Comcast was horrid. I couldn't get a human on the phone to give them the new MAC address. I have a Linksys EA8300 router. I had to reset the router to get it to work with the modem - bug ugh.

The words nobody wants to hear from their internet provider: Sir, we grandfathered your old internet modem into our system over two years ago. Out with the old (archaic 4 channel Motorola SURFboard) and in with the new (Arris 32 channel SURFboard). My family was experiencing weekly bog downs on our old modem that became daily bog downs and lots of frustration. Going to a 32 channel modem from an old 4 channel modem is like night and day difference in download and upload speeds. Realize that internet speed is primarily determined by your computer's processor speed, but having 32 channels available with open flow sure makes it feel like we switched from a Ford Pinto to a Ferrari. No more bog downs! Dropbox uploads and downloads have sped up exponentially. For a family of four or five, this is the way to go! Everyone can stream WiFi. Happy family! One of the best investments I've made this year. Highly recommended.

Had a surfboard prior to purchasing this modem and had so many issues connecting it to my new router. Happy to day problem solved and speed doubled!!

I enjoy using this product because the internet rarely goes out with Modem/Router.

Called internet provider. Gave them the new modem MAC address. Opened the Orbi app and was back on whole house WiFi in minutes. Excellent range and seamless connections throughout the house.

I had purchased this Modem because the modem my ISP provided was glitching out and providing us subpar internet. I bought this modem and set it up with a router via ethernet cable and my internet setup has been flawless. This router is worth the investment.

Purchsed this Modem to repalce dual modem/router. It was very easy to get setup with one call to my internet provider. Paired with the Nighthawk Mesh Router we have coverage though out the house.
