I bought this stand to use with an iPad holder, since it's two way adjustable. It works perfectly! The construction of the stand is incredibly sturdy. The workmanship is class A! The base is heavier than most mic stands I've used, which is excellently, since I'd prefer that the stand not tip over with and iPad attached. I'm also a professional musician, although only part time these days. I'm considerable buying two more of these standard to replace the ones I've been using.
