very easy to use! the software choice is the harder one to figure out and also use. but the Glide Gear for Ipad is perfect! My Ipad wiggled without the case underneath it. So just kept the case on and no problems! I used my iphone to control the speed using Teleprompter Premium. The key is to have the ipad app loaded and turned on first then turn on iphone app and all works well. SmartPrompt Pro is a voice activated app that sounds great in theory, but it jumps rather than scrolls smoothly and the font is too small for older speakers' eyes. Also, being voice activated, you need to make sure the ipad mic picks up clearly or the screen can freeze. To fix that you have to attach a wired mic that feeds into the ipad. So until they fix those three problems, will stay with Teleprompter Premium. I even bought a spare mirror for $30 since I do field shoots and need to have a backup just in case. I put a arca clamp on the camera screw that is shown beneath the Glide gear plate and this allows me to do quick camera switch/lense changes. For $200 can't go wrong! 5 |
