Just plugged it into the lightning connector of my iPad, with an HDMI cable it connected instantly to a projector. Seemed a bit pricey but Apple connectivity, quality, and guaranteed compatibility is worth it. A great travel accessory for connecting to hotel TVs. 5 |

I wanted the kids to be able to watch YouTube videos on a TV, this adapter made it happen. It was easy to connect my iPad to the television. Just insert the lightning plug into the iPad (or iPhone), connect to the TV via an HDMI cable and connect a lightning charging cable to the adapter and watch. Whatever is on the iPad shows up on the TV. The kids use the iPad as a controller and both can watch full size videos. 5 |

Before I was plugging in the iPad and using quicktime to capture the iPad screen. This took way more processing power than I wanted. The Magewell along with the HDMI / Lightning dongle worked perfect and showed as a video source option for streaming. I just love how I just plug it into a Mac and it just works without the need of any drivers. It included a usb cable. You have to provide your own HDMI cable. 5 |

This dongle lets you plug in an HDMI cable into an iPad or iPhone and also continue to charge the device. I am using it specifically for online indoor cycling training software. Sensors on my bike pair to my iPad and then I broadcast the metrics and video on a large 46” monitor. Works great - no lag in video broadcast and sounds great too even without an external speaker. 5 |
