Ipad Lightning Usb Flash Drive

This tiny Flash drive is a godsend for my iPad with its lightning connector. The iXpand drive even comes with an ingenious USB-A connector on the opposite side. After installing the free iXpand app, iPad and iPhone storage as well as data transfer to a Windows PC are finally problem free. Hats off to the SanDisk developers for finally making this so easy!

I bought 2 of these over the last year. Love that is has lightning for my phone and usb-c for my iPad.

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

One of the purposes for this adapter was to connect a USB mouse to my iPad through the lightning connector. Initially, I bought a knock off from Amazon and it wouldn’t work at all until I started doing something manipulating the connectors, particularly the USB connector, and even at that when I got that working And the mouse was mostly working, I couldn’t get the iPad to charge through the device unless I did some more manipulating of the power input connector and the lightning connector going into the iPad. Needless to say, it was hit or miss when I was trying to use it. However, when I got the real Apple adapter, I plugged it in first time worked and I haven’t had any kind of problem with it. Even the mouse works much better response much better with the iPad. So it’s not worth trying to save a few bucks, get the real thing from folks that you know you can trust, B&H Photo.

I had an older 5th gen iPad mini that used the older 1st gen lightning-based Apple Pencil. The battery in my pencil finally died, so I needed a new one. It was a bit confusing as to whether this pencil was the correct replacement, since it mentions USB-C, rather than lightning, but I can confirm that this is indeed the 1st gen lightning-based pencil, that just happens to have a lightning to USB-C adapter mentioned in the product title.

I also ordered Apple Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, which allows me to put an SD card from point and shoot Canon, Kodak, and Panasonic cameras in so I can import photos easily onto my iPad. Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter allows me to add small Thumbdrives / Flashdrives to add storage. In truth the Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter is currently unnecessary for me, as I just deleted whatever I don't need on the iPad. There is enough native storage for basic Apps, editing, and writing!!

Easy to use and durable USB flash drive

Backups are lightning fast due to the multiple connection options provided in the packaging. It comes with both USB-C and USB 3.0 cabling making it transfer as fast as your equipment will let it. It is fast enough for me to run Lightroom photo processing off of this drive but, I choose not to - it's THAT fast! Solid case protects it while sitting atop your rig.
