For me, the Paperlike screen protector has made drawing on the iPad a viable alternative to pencil and paper. No more sliding across the screen like a ballpoint on glass. With an Apple Pencil there is real friction when using both the point for drawing lines and the edge when shading. It’s not exactly like paper but pretty close. Take a lot of care when applying the Paperlike protector otherwise you will get bubbles between the screen and protector. These won’t affect the drawing but might be a small distraction.

After using the paperlike screen protector for almost 2 months, I can say that it made the writing experience on my iPad much better. It provides an almost paper like feel with anti slip and precision without any compromise to the apple pencil tip. Along with it, the matte finish minimise the glare on the screen and provides an overall satisfactory reading experience. I use my iPad for note making for almost 6 hours a day, and in these 2 months, there had been minimal scratches on the protector. This screen protector really does change the way the iPad feels. I am amazed how much it feels like paper, it has really improved my writing experience. However, the display is compromised. It is not terrible but you certainly lose the quality of the iPad display. So if you use the iPad primarily for writing or drawing then this is a must. But if you use it primarily for watching films and playing games, it probably isn’t for you.
