I got this USB-C flash drive for my M1 MacBook Pro, as I was tired of having to use an adapter every time I needed to use my old flash-drives. As my first type-C flash drive, I couldn't be happier. The performance is what you would expect from a Gen 1, USB 3.2 (a little above par compared with USB 3, to be honest), but I wasn't getting this for any super-computing speed tests, so that was fine with me. All I can say is that whoever took the product photos for this little flash drive MUST'VE used a macro lens, because this thing is SUPER tiny! It barely sticks out an inch from the side of my MacBook when it's connected, and that's fine with me - I'm just glad I have a dedicated gadget-bag for my cables and flash drives or else I'd be constantly worried about losing this little thing! We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |
