I typically only use ultra thin cases so my phone feels like it's supposed to, but I spend a lot of time on the trail and I'm really clumsy and have smashed a couple screens. I switched to this case because I really wanted a better mount for my bike and didn't want to get the quad lock and just have a bulky case and an ugly looking mount on my bike. I settled on this and honestly couldn't be happier. I dropped my phone on some rocks this past week and it was fine. While it's not as lightweight and sleek as before, I'm completely used to it now.
