Iphone 15 Front Camera Zoom

Great for doing auditions while on the road or for using my iPhone as an auxiliary camera for Zoom. 5 |

The iPhone 15 Pro cameras are bigger, so add-on lenses have to be optimized for the new camera. (Stay away from budget lenses) I was happy to see it was sharp and in focus from corner to corner on my 15 Pro. The T-series mount is larger. Moment sells phones cases for the mount, and some iPhone cages have available adapter plates that can handle T-series mounts. Mount the lens by twisting. Use the included hex key to align the lens so it's vertical. The iPhone 15 Pro camera is already wide, so adding a 1.33x lens means we are approaching the ultra wide view of a GoPro. (You can punch in with the Blackmagic Camera app--so that gives you a range of options). The gold anamorphic flares are stronger than the older models which is nice. Worth the money. 5 |

I did a couple tests with my iPhone 11 Pro. On one I was driving down the highway with the windows down doing 70 and did test recordings with the front facing camera and back camera with the built in iPhone mics and with the Rode VideoMic. First off, just using the built in mics, there is a bit of a difference depending on if you shoot with the front facing camera or rear camera. Neither of them were great when I did the highway test. On one of them I could barely hear my voice. Then I used the Rode mic with the dead cat that was included and I could hear my voice no problem. It provided very usable audio. Yes, there's still some background noise cause I'm going 70 with the windows down. But I was VERY impressed at how well it rejects sound that's not straight ahead. A solid shotgut mic for your iPhone for sure. 5 |

This is perfect. I have been looking for a portable, well-built camera with advanced features and a great zoom. My iPhone has been my primary camera for several years. The sx730 adds the zoom I need and takes great, clear pics. Well done! 5 |

This camera fills the gap perfectly between a camera with full size features versus the portability, but limited photo capabilities of an advanced iPhone. With the 40x optical zoom and image stabilization, its reach easily outperforms my aging Canon EOS 40D even with its 28-300 mm image stabilized zoom lens that I used for youth sports photos 12 years ago and its 24-105 mm lens that I used for vacation photos five years ago. It is larger than my iPhone, but it still small enough to fit in any jacket pocket and most pants pockets. The image stabilization is amazingly effective, even at full zoom. Our favorite most recent photo is a full size shot of a new-born deer fawn taken from a distance so far away that the fawn and its mother had no awareness of our presence. The camera is easy to use but also has some advanced features for the more sophisticated photographer. Because of its convenience, it has become my everyday go-to camera. I'm not sure how often I will want to haul around the full size camera from this point forward. 5 |

This is an extreme wide angle zoom lens that gives minimal distortion as long as one make sure that the camera is perfectly horizontal and perpendicular to the vertical axis. Pros: - Unbelievable picture quality - very sharp - Assuming proper camera handling, the weight of the lens helps stabilization - very nice feel! - Great depth of field, even at f/4.0 (see picture) Cons: - Bulbous front lens prevents using a UV filter for protection - The lens hood provide some protection but would not prevent a direct impact right on the lens - keep the cap on when not using this wonderful lens! - Neutral density filters can be added to the front of the lens with special adaptors (need 150 mm filters - this could be an expensive solution) - Gel type of neutral density filters can be inserted on the mounting side of the lens (rear). These need to be trimmed to 3 X 3 cm with 2 adjacent corners cut off. There is a warning from Canon stating that at the focal length of 11 mm the rear element could touch the filter. At least on my lens, I can't see how this would happen unless the filter is under tension and bulge toward this lens. These Gel type ND are not graduated but this could be accomplished in Post Processing. - It is an expensive lens but no other lens offers that extreme zoom range without a fisheye look. Furthermore, the quality of the image is unsurpassed 5 |

This is something I wish I had purchase 5 years ago. It allows zooming without reaching to the switch that are placed near the front of the camera. Just sit back and zoom as needed. Best purchase ever! 5 |

I used this for a specific assignment at a water park. I shot a Trash the Dress photo shoot with a bride of mine. I was able to go down the slides with her and her groom, stand in splashing water with them, and even do underwater kissing shots and other fun ideas with the dress under water. This item is great because of it's affordability and ease of use, as well as it's effectiveness for it's intentions. I took it under water about 4 feet, and was in and out of the water all day with it. It was easy to get to all the functions and adjust the camera, though it took a little bit to get used looking through the camera with this case in between, and manipulating the zoom function of the lens. Their are built in finger holes to fire the shutter, focus/zoom. There's not much I can really say bad about it. The lens part of the water case will allow you for various lens lengths, but the lens kind of lays loose in that tube area. I kind of wish it would attach to the front lens element, otherwise I have to make sure it's pulled up against the front of the lens to avoid vignetting. Ultimately, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to play with underwater, or very wet, photography and their SLR. 5 |

I had been a little concerned by some other reviews that had mentioned sticky movements in either the vertical or horizontal axes, but I trusted the Benro brand and it turned out fine. Movements in both axes are silky smooth. Once you balance the camera/lens combo using the calibrated vertical adjustment and the front to back position of the lens foot in the Arca-style clamp you can very smoothly move the lens up or down or point it in any direction and it stays precisely there even if you don't tighten any clamp. There is just a little bit of friction in both axes which allows you to pan without tilting or tilt without panning (without tightening any clamps), if that is what you want to do. This is perfect for action and wildlife telephotography. I am using mine with a Canon 5D Mk.3 camera and a Canon 100-400mm IS2 lens with superb results. Note, though, that the lens foot of this particular lens is not Arca clamp ready; I replaced mine with a custom lens foot made by Really Right Stuff. One more note: when you use a zoom lens the front-to-back balance point is affected by the zoom setting. With a little bit of care I can adjust the position of the lens foot in the clamp to achieve a compromise between the balance points for 100mm and 400mm settings, so that I can zoom as needed and still pan or tilt independently without needing to re-position the foot or tighten a clamp on either axis. Perfection! 5 |
