Iphone 6 Take Off Headphone Mode

How can I stress this enough. TAKE THE LENS HOOD OFF! I was getting a square image, no circle. I started to panic. Couldn't find anything on online about what was happening. I was getting mad. I called Nikon. They were looking into the problem. Then someone on the phone said the words lens hood. I immediately knew the problem. I took the lens hood off and voila! Problem solved. I didn't even think about it beforehand because the 14-24 has a built in lens hood that doesn't come off. Rookie mistake. Felt like a real idiot in front of the entire office. Yes, you may laugh at me. Go right ahead. Hopefully my mistake will keep you from making the same!

Take this review with some salt, as I am very new to equipment like this. I create videos as a hobby using just an iPhone to record, but having that coupled with the AT24Pro makes things so much easier and allows me to be more creative. The main selling point for me was the range of height that it could achieve, especially with the max height of 77. Though in using this it cannot be said enough how taut all of the flip-locks and locking knobs are when adjusting everything for shooting. For the price, I think it's amazing.

A must-have to connect to your iPhone 7, 8, & X. In my case my 6-month old Apple Lightning to headphone adapter didn't work; once I replaced it with a new one this Rode cable worked properly. BONUS: Check out the Rode SC6 to add a headphone output to the input chain!

I currently have two other versions of this Lav.  This is a unique addition to those.  I will be using this on my iPhone since they did away with the headphone jack!  Works great for memo recording and also live streaming.  I will be using this for youtube uploads that require little to no editing so I can quickly plug in, record and upload with better audio.  The cord is a good length and I am loving it so far.  Whats also great is that this does not require a battery like my other wired units and there is a headphone jack if you need to monitor yourself!   [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
