Easy way to port iPhone to HDMI while still charging iPhone

I would recommend this charger. I now keep two unused original Apple cables which I had at home plugged into it: one is from a MacBook Air laptop and the other from an older iPhone. Power Delivery and several built-in electronic protections also make it compatible with any device drawing power from a USB A or C port without questioning whether it will ruin expensive electronics (I used to winder about this when wanting to charge my iPhone). In some cars/ trucks, that includes scenarios like leaving everything plugged-in, even when cranking the engine: aside from voltage fluctuations, voltage spikes, short circuit hazards and other protections, I find its size surprisingly compact in size. It's amazing this outputs so much power (great for large capacity batteries/ faster charging). I have tried it with a work LED light, an iPad Pro, two iPhones models and SONY earphones, charging them using the charger USB Type C port and it's a great experience. I also had an older GoPro Hero 5 charging from the USB A port on the charger and all those instances, it felt like whatever I was charging was full or almost full by the time my commute was over. In the car, I have a couple of 12V outlets to choose from and I decided to have it out by my cup holders (beware, keep, dripping water from cold drinks away) for better airflow and easier access. Some cars cut off power to the 12V outlets when locking the doors, some others don't. That's why I was happy to see that it's got a white LED ring light indicator on the charger to see if it's getting any power. I have attached photos and I will update this review if anything comes up. After over a week of daily use, including a long Memorial Weekend trip, I am quite pleased with it. The Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge Rockstar fixes what may be the only problem with the iPhone 7 series phones, along with future iPhones - the lack of ability to listen to headphones while charging the phone. The device is very simple to use - you plug it into your iPhone, you plug your charge cable into one side and your headphones or headphone dongle into the other. The iPhone figures out everything else for you, and off you go. Should Apple decide to drop the headphone port on future iPads, this device also has you covered. I was able to charge my 2017 iPad with the 2.4 amp Apple charger while plugged into this dongle at its full charging rate. There are other, cheaper (read - not "MFI-compliant") options out there, but you run into compatibility problems with software updates and quality control issues. For me, the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar is the only option for charging and listening to wired headphones, as it's MFI compliance guarantees that a future iOS update won't disable it. All in all, this is a good overall product for what it does.

I just received this adapter as a test before getting an iphone 8. I am using it with an iPhone 6 plus. The audio sound is better than that iPhone audio port! The sound has more depth, is crisper, and is more vibrant. My headset is a HyperX Cloud gaming headset, and people indicate that the sound of my voice is better with this adapter than using the stock port as well. My gf said it sounded as clear as a landline instead of like a cell phone. The inline controls also work on the headset even though it is not certified made for iPhone.
