The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Love this thing. I use it for recording my podcast interviews when I have multiple guest. Love the fact that they can control their headphone volume, it takes up very little space and the fact that all of the adapters were included. Never heard of Polsen before HP and can't find this item anywhere else but I like. I plug it into the mic input of my microphone preamp and it works perfectly. 5 |

It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since the iPhone no longer has headphone jack and we travel together a lot, I enjoy sharing my headphones with my husband and could no longer do so. Got this to use and it’s been working great so far. I don’t hear background noise like some have said, and it hasn’t stopped working or anything like that. I would recommend! 5 |
